Location: Stationed out of Wetaskiwin covering Wetaskiwin, Edmonton and Parland corridor
Duties: Operate Roll-Off truck-tandum axle
Requirements: Drivers Abstract, 3Q license

Operations Manager  
MCL Waste Systems / Environmental, a CERF company, is currently seeking an Operations Manager to guide and direct its landfill waste / recycling and project management lines of business. Working out of MCL’s Wetaskiwin head office the successful candidate will report to the president and be responsible for performing the following duties:

•               Day to day operational oversight of six landfill operating contracts.

•               Day to day operational oversight of a fleet of roll off and hi-way trucks.

•               Oversee Safety Management .

•               Responsible for the allocation of work and assets to meet service obligations and standards.

•               Project scheduling, planning, implementation and tracking.

•               Recruitment, retention and development of operational personnel. 

•               Develop, implement and maintain key performance measurements.

•               Cost tracking and reporting against assigned budget.

•               Responding to and following up on customer inquires. 

•               Duties as assigned.

Working within a team environment the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications for this full time, permanent position:

•               Minimum of 2 years experience working within the waste / recycling, facility management or transport service industry with direct management or project management experience. 

•               Alberta Landfill Operations Certification, Compost Certification and or SWANA Certification. 

•               Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate in related disciplines or successful completion of additional industry related diplomas, certificate and apprenticeship programs will be considered.

•               Excellent communication, writing, organization and computer skills.

•               Clean driver’s abstract.

Working knowledge of financial management, revenue forecasting and cost management systems would be an asset.
